    How long does shipping take?

    Your order typically will ship one to four business days after your order is placed, and you will receive an e-mail notification that your product has shipped. Most orders arrive within two to seven days from the date they are shipped. Orders are shipped during normal business hours Monday - Friday, excluding holidays. All orders are shipped via UPS or USPS.  At this time, NutriKey™ only ships to locations within the United States.

    • Orders of perishable items placed after noon on Thursday night may be held until Monday for shipping to ensure freshness.
    • For products on back order, an approximate delivery date will be given.
    • For items that are out of stock, contact us for an estimated shipping date.

    Shipping heat-sensitive products

    Unless recommended by our manufacturers, many heat-sensitive products aren’t required to ship with an ice pack. Products are designed and manufactured to withstand higher heat during shipping times. Most important is how the product is stored once you receive it. Refer to the label for storage instructions.

    Refrigerated Probiotics

    Some probiotics are best stored in the refrigerator while others are shelf stable at room temperature. If your order contains a refrigerated probiotic, we pack your order with an ice pack to protect the bacteria from prolonged heat exposure during shipping. While probiotics thrive in the approximately 100 degrees of our intestinal tract, the ice pack offers extra protection during transit.

    Please note that the ice pack is expected to remain cold for the first day in transit and will help keep your products cooler than the outside conditions even after melting. While the ice pack will thaw during shipping and the product may be warm to the touch, rest assured that the temperature inside the box remains well below the level that could damage the bacteria (which would require temperatures far above body temperature). This ensures you receive a highly viable probiotic product.

    Once you have received your product, refrigerate it to maintain the benefits of the probiotics through the expiration date.

    Soft Gel Products
    In very hot weather, the soft gels may stick together, but shaking the bottle should separate them. If that doesn’t work, put it in the freezer for several minutes and try again. Soft gel products are designed to withstand higher heat during shipping and having them stick together won’t alter the quality. Follow the storage recommendations on the label to ensure long term viability.
